Does anyone know what parts are in my 940SE sedan so I can clean and/or replace the parts of my PCV system that includes my oil trap, hoses, nipple, O rings, breather box etc. Also, how do I get to these parts.

don't touch the return line to the block. just don't. the oil breather box is beneath the intake manifold, a medium size hose will run from that across your engine, and theres one o ring on the breather box. umm..

7xx pcv (http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-700/Engine/Engine-Mechanical/PCV-Flame-Trap-1988-1995/p-70-189-474-3325/)
they're the same, to my knowledge.

yup they're the same.
Pretty easy to do, clean the part with mineral oil.

Thanks. Do I have to remove any parts such as the throttle body to get at the oil trap

Yep. order a new intake manifold gasket too. Basically you are gonna pull the intake manifold. It's not hard. I always just unbolted it from the head then disconnected whatever I needed to so I could just pull it back and bungee cord it to the hood latch out of the way. I think like injector plugs, injector grounds on the fuel rail, throttle cable, etc. Its not hard at all.
Replace the breather box with a VOLVO OEM part. Dont get the cheap scantech part from FCP. Mine went bad after about a year. The glue holding the box apart separated, causing a messy oil leak.
Good luck! let us how it goes!

If it goes you'll know it. I was scratching my head at the fact that my shiny intake manifold was getting covered in oil splatter, and it wasn't my dipstick tube, or the tube O ring where it meets the block ( I had already replaced that)
Finally saw that it had separated. I cleaned it out super dooper good with brakecleen, scuffed up the seam, and JB welded the crap out of it. No problems since, as this motor is now in my 240.
