I have a question I have a 1990 240 dl wagon its not turbo. I would like to have turbo installed in it, is that possible, and what are some manufactures that make turbo for non turbo volvos. Thanks

you have a few options. the 'easiest' will probably be buying a turbo motor, ecu, harness, exhaust and swapping the whole thing into your car. you could turbocharge your current motor, as its a good motor for a turbo project being 90+, and you could have yourself a high-compression turbo making weird monster torque but will be considerably difficult and, as with any motor, you won't realize the full potential until you tune it accurately, this means some sort of EMS be it standalone or piggyback. linuxman or isaac will chime in on the possibilities of F+T

It cost me about $200 in junkyard parts and a weekend of work to do myself. It'll give you about $1.80 per 1 hp if you know how to junkyard tune.

Compare that with the ever-popular K+N filter mod, which is about $20-$50 per 1hp, and it doesn't seem such a stupid idea.
