Very nice on both counts there, love the rims on the 244, and the 242 is in very good condition too.

yeah, try finding a 242 in scandinavia  $$$
i've seen piles of 242s get tossed into the junkyard but over there i've seen piles of rust come back to life cause you cant just buy the next one on craigslist

So..If I started filling shipping containers with 242's to Norway...what would I get for one in USD?

Sweet ride. Oregon misses it.

Same engine as my other Volvo (B230FT), black leather seats, and flathood perhaps. Re-paint the body because of the sun...

Dude, did you arrange the import yourself? How did you go about it? Ship freight? How much was shipping? How did you arrange everything? Details, god is in details?

Really nice looking car!

Aha yeah, tell me about it. Older, pre 1985 cars(the best looking ones), be they 242, 244 or 245, are hard to get in good, rust free condition.

Thanks dude!

I bought the car from a norwegian who have experience with import of cars. It came with boat to Norway...

This is an rust free 242 Turbo

very nice :-D

keep it rust free! I would re-apply the whole original rust protection (underbodycoating and wax in frame rails etc).

Good, rust free 242's are hard to find here too. It hurts to see so many cheap 242's in the USA, we want them too!

Don't want to clog your thread but since you asked....just got the rear suspension all back in the car last weekend, now time for the front. Another '83 from Oregon!!

I will restore the car 100%. It will never be used in the winter...

Yeah, I think flathood will be perfect :-P

Is this the same grill as the "flathood-grill" above?
