I need to do some measuring to see which car they will work best in.

Thanks Craigslist! - $200 + an hour drive toward Richmond.

nice motorsport seats. E36 M3 I imagine?
Curious to see how these would look in a 700 series.. the only seats I've been interested in for my SE so far are black 850R seats or some sort of racing seat application.

99.9% sure they are from an E36 M3.

Some of the Motorsport seats, like the E30 M3 seats, go for upwards of $1,000 on bimmerforums...so good find @$200..could probably even resell them for a profit if you decide not to use them.

Yep, E36 M3. They are known as "Vaders" in the BMW circle. Very very cool! Any info on adapters?

I need to do some measuring with the 240 seats & the spare 740 seat in the garage. To me it looks like they will be easier to fit in the 740, but the goal is to have them in the 240.

The only downside is they are powered which = heavy. Almost as heavy as the powered Recaro in my car now.

EDIT - they are not powered, but still heavy & comfortable.

Those are hot! They look extremely comfortable and grippy too.

From the thread title I thought you were swapping an M cam for a V cam, not remembering that your car is a 16v.
