So do I. I wish mine would ride well/not be a snow plow if I did that to mine. I think your lower door trim could use some reconditioning.

Random question but were those pictures taken out near Millville? Looks like the area where we picked up our puppy last week.

Sweet car man. Really digging the stance and I think tint is necessary for any wagon, especially a gold one.

It doesn't snow much here so I never thought about a lowered car + air dam turning my car into a snow plow. :\ Mother eff I wish I lived in California. Nice car, bro.

She's great so far. We decided to get her over closer Labradoodles because the other breeders that were closer to us seemed like they continually farm out puppies [we did not really want to go through a breeder to begin with but we really wanted a young labradoodle puppy with straight hair] but the family up in Millville we got Shelby from just had one litter and had lots of attention [they had 7 kids] and a big piece of property for them to play around on.

Back to the topic - ecodes and a eggcrate grille would make it complete!

Awesome car man! I wish my wheels turned out as well as yours. What paint did you use? You send me a PM or give me some instructions?

Apparently when I painted my Virgos black I must have forgotten something... I sanded and primed them but the paint is coming off.

did you clean the wheels thoroughly before priming them? how many layers of primer? did you sand the primer? and how many coats of paint?

mine has stuck well for months. now its coming off because of hardcore chain usage and i let someone drive my car. that someone happened to curb the **** out of them, now they are due for refinishing yet again

No I sanded them multiple times - after washing them - then I sprayed one coat of primer then applied 3(?) coats of paint. :-( I screwed up, but I'm not sure how I'm going to fix it.

if you wanna save yourself some pain get them sandblasted once most of the paint chips off and do it over again. its back breaking work getting them nice and fresh looking :)

I sanded the wheel and used a can of paint on each applying in thin coats letting it set before the next. I started wet sanding between coats towards the end. It took me about a week. Not really necessary. I used krylon ultra flat.

Ahh okay, I htought so, I couldn't tell for sure, my computer screen has poor quality when it comes to dark colors, idk why.

My younger brother may be getting a silver 745T with Dracos, I'll have to try talking him into blacking them out.

How Can I strip the paint with my tires still on? Isn't sand blasting pretty expensive?
Can I just sand them, prime them, sand again, and then use a can per wheel?

If they are chipping now and you paint over them they will just chip more. The paint you put on top will come off too.

i say run the tires to the ground, slap the steelies back on when its time for new rubber for a week or so and proceed to re-refinish your virgos. sandblasting shouldnt be too expensive, i am thinking it shouldnt run you more than $100 to get them all stripped, but for that money you might as well powdercoat them.
you can always sand them again if you have the motivation

i spraypainted a set of Hydra's earlier and i worked like this:
- scratch of any old paintflakes
- sand of any corrosion and sand the old paint
- degrease!
- spray with metal primer. let the wheel dry.
- use finegrit and sand lightly to get a key for the final paint to stick to.
- degrease! (yes again)
- spraypaint the final color in layers. leave 5min between spraying over the earlier layer.
- let the wheel dry completely. Do not touch the paint. (even perfectly clean hands give of some natural grease)
- If you want a high gloss finish, spray 2 coats of clear anamel over the paint. Let it dry for a day.

if you also want to paint the plastic(!) centrecaps:
- instead of using metal primer, use a special plastics primer.
- suppose you also want to put some moose stickers in the middle of the centrecap, stick the sticker on after you sprayed the paint and spray the clear anamel over the sticker!

with spraypainting it is like this: the more effort you put into the preparation, the better the end result will be.

PS i didn't bother spraypainting the insides of the wheels, i just handpainted those with corrosion resistant hamerite paint, no need to use primer with that type of metalpaint.

PPS i don't like sandblasting, it is to abrasive. Better let the blaster use glassgrains, it's much less abrasive and the finish is extremely smooth. Ideal for painting.

On a budget wheel paint.

Scuff with burgundy scotch brite & detergent.
Scuff again with water to remove trace detergent.
Scuff with lacquer thinner to soften paint, and promote adhesion.
Spray with Duplicolor Wheel paint,
Rustoleum Epoxy appliance paint,
Or Du Pont Centauri silver from IPD.
Clearcoat if possible.
The factory paint is the best base you can get no need to prime or put it on real thick.
Do not use soft paint on wheels,or it will chip easily.

Edit;
This wheel was shot with expensive automotive paint,
and clear coat, but the prep was as above.
The picture doesn't do it justice, the metal flake really pops in the sun.
