I pulled mine off the other day and i love how much cleaner it looks. Problem is.. now i have a bunch of holes.

Sooo i have seen vinyl i have seen plugs and paint, and i have seen the ipd molding kit.

What other options are out there? Please post up any and all pictures you have of optional side molding.

Before someone tells me to weld up and paint i want to say, its not happening. Im not painting my car.

I have seen a lot of these threads, and I think that this is the simplest solution I have aver come across, well done!

To the OP, remove yuour lower trim as well, or paint it black

I think there are. But you should pull it anyway and respray it, or mask around it and then respray it. Just to clean up the look a bit more, if that's possible, that's a pretty slick looking car.

I think ill pull it off and spray it and then the body underneath ill roll plasti dip onto.

Sounds like a plan lol

And thanks :)

I like the way it looks with the '92 black trim. To each his own.

yup, mine still has its factory black. they also blacked out the top 3 inches of the doors (the flatter bit) and put in black headliners in the turbo 240s, did i forget black bumpers and grill?

if you remove the molds, it has holes in the chassis.

also, black trim was availible earlier than 93'.
Both on GLT models, as well as on the "black line" models (with pin stripe).

However, the newest type 240 had a new front window too :-) it's flush with the chassis, not a aerodynamic drag like the older type(s).

Uh.. i have a 91 so i have the newer front window and i already replaced the trim with a pin stripe.

You kinda bumped and old thread lol :P

Sorry for the bump from the dead, but I am new to 240's. How do you get the side trim off? Can it be removed without ruining it?

Thanks
