Designers Challenge - Turbobricks Mousepad

This is the first "Turbobricks Designers Challenge"... this will be for the Mousepad design that members will be able to purchase from the cafepress store.

The Rules:


All entries must be original artwork and CANNOT contain any copyrighted designs (e.g. volvo emblems, designs, etc)
The design must contain the turbobricks.com logo somewhere, can be any size, but must be readable once its printed. You can download the logo in *.psd format here: turbobricks logo (http://www.turbobricks.com/admin/turbobricks-logo.psd)
Due date is 5/1/04
Designs must be 9.5" x 8" (2850 x 2400 pixels) at 300dpi (pixels per inch - default is 72 on photoshop)


Instructions:

Save your image as a High Quality *.jpg (try to keep it under 1mb)
Come up with a name for your design (e.g. "Brick Love" or "Turbo Power")
Email dana@turbobricks.com with the image attached and the title in the body of the email. Subject saying "designers challenge" would be helpful too... and I will send a reply when I get it


On 5/1 I will start a poll with all the contending designs and registered people will vote on which one they want. Poll will close promptly on 5/7 12 midnight.

Artist will have credit in the store description (e.g. "Blah blah - by John Doe" and if you wish can sign your name on the artwork.

Keep in mind the image will be square and it will overlay the edge by a certain amount so there is no white space (called full bleed to those who are familiar with printing). This needs to be kept in mind when you're designing... placing things on the edge might not come out that way, when the images are submitted I will hopefully be using this image with your design as the actual thumbnail for the poll.

I think it should be something pleasing to look at for extended periods of time..It should also be something you don't mind you hand gliding over and over and over Although I can't take credit for it..I like the image below....

I still need to edit mine so that the text is not at the edges like that, to be printed on the mousepad I guess there needs to be a border around the outside with nothing important. My design will stay exactly the same, but if I'm still allowed I'll just edit it so that it's proper. Haven't had much free time lately.

Alright, here's my modified mousepad. This one should conform to the rules, except for possibly the size issue because I don't use photoshop. If it's the wrong size just let me know. This one is fine for "full bleed". It's also square, which my old one wasn't (didn't realize this before).
