The day dawned damp and chilly but I met up with 4 of my Z buddies and we entered our cars in the show, we were in fleeces and hoods to keep warm but eventually the sun shone thru and we were finally down to t shirts and really enjoying the day and the show... Car Corral had 3 Volvos for sale, a nice 89 Berty w/140k for $3500, a very nice 1800 Sport wagon, did not ask the price, and a crazy 1800 coupe with a hole cut thru the hood to acommodate the engine, a bit extreme. In the show our Z's stood tall as one of our members won an award with his 78 280Z with a chevy 350 under the hood, this car is extremely beautiful and is so well done the car looks factory from top to bottom, even has chrome Cobra R rims on it.... The former 245, which the owner now calls a 283 Volvo wagon due to it being a 2 series with an 8 cyl, (350Chevy) and 3 doors, I know some of the board members have seen his car at the Lime Rock Park show, anyway, his car was in the last years winners circle, was a great day with a lot to see..... Check my pics and enjoy..

That silver 78 is a one owner w/80k on it from Ct, has had minor body resto and a paint job, the wheels are factory wheel covers from 78, it's a nice ride......

It was at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, about 10 minutes from the aerodrome... That was an 89 Bertone for sale in the car corral, mine's a 91... the rusty trucks were for sale for resto or rodding.... I had the red 85 300ZX in the show pics, my Bertone was home.......

It was a good looking Berty though, the seller told me it had been a former Volvo executives car, it was the turbo+ 2.3 in it. And only 140k, some points of my car were nicer but overall it presented itself very well and, cough cough, it was nicer than mine..... But then again I didn't pay $3k plus for mine either...:oogle:
