Hello everyone. My name is Logan. I'm from California. I have been a volvo owner for about 5 and a half years. I have a naturaly aspirated '84 242. I've been coming here for a few years for the useful information and great links. I figured it was about time that I joined.

For pics of my car, check out my car domain site (hasn't been updated in a while): www.cardomain.com/id/swedishbrick240

Thanx for the welcome. I like to keep my car pretty nice. My dad took good care of it since it was new. It was a 16th birthday present :) One Earl Scheib paint job and a better stereo system later, and I have one of the best looking 200 series Volvos in Santa Cruz. Hopefully soon I will join the elite world of turbo.

LOL, I'll try to cut back on the short sentences :-P

Woah. Another Santa Cruz Volvo owner! Sweet! I suppose at least one of the 2 million Volvo owners in Santa Cruz would have to be a member here :)

" Once I am out and making a steady paycheck, it is on to bigger and better things. Preferably a 1st gen Camaro."
thats mean. a volvo makes a good second car, so that you are free to have one down and one to get around. thats what you meant right? if not, the volvo will grow on you, just wait. with you registering here, you're well on your way to a unhealthy addiction. like the rest of us.

Yeah, I've been kind of on and off on what I want to do with this car. I know I want to keep it forever. I've had it since I was born. We have history. But at the same time, I feel the need for speed. So don't worry; the Volvo stays. The Camaro will just be a damn fun weekend flyer :)

let's see... as it goes with the SC bricksters, Brickster151, he used to live here, but as cullen said, he's in arizona... volvoracer82, and noah244ti... although, i met them all once when i lived in sacramento at the Davis meet... didn't make it to davis this year.... damn... anyway, i think i'm the SC person who is on the board the most, which is kind of sad.....have fun here...

btw, the 2 million Volvo owners in Santa Cruz is hardly an exaggeration... there are soo many here...:volvo:

Noah, Ryan, Allan (turboES) and a few others live in SC. Then you have Alen (s40 alen) in Oakland, Nick in Oakland, Justin S in San Jose sometimes, and a bunch of others.

I live in Elk Grove. Hook up with Ryan and Noah, next time were BBQ'ing caravan down with them!

Once you go turbo, you'll be thinking less about the Camaro, and more about the volvo (not saying you still won't want the Camaro)

This is Coming from a 1966 Chevelle SS owner (actually my 396 came out of a 68 Camaro).
Beautiful 242 by the way! Looks so weel taken care of.

Already there. The more I learn, the more I love this car and want to make it insane.

The turbo is definitly in the near future along with some Virgos and either IPD springs or coil-overs.

Thanx for the compliments and the warm welcome. :) I look forward to the long future I have with this car.

edit: YAY! I'M A BOARD MEMBER :badboy: No more newbie for me!

Yeah, I used to actually take the time to respond, but I got sick of being called a gay fag and never hearing anything original. Just more stupidity. I'm probably going to clear my guestbook soon.

You probably don't go out actively hunting ricers to degrade their self worth. I feel it is my unsworn duty to inform them of the folly of their ways. Thus, they tend to feel the need to respond by questioning my sexual orientation.
