100$ 242 (beige underpowered)

I scored a 82 beige 242DL for 100$. someone decided that the back window needed to be broke though. Its an autotragic n/a brown interior etc...
Im probably going to slam it as low as it will go and paint the steelies black again and drive it till i acquire the k-jet turbo stuff. Or just maybe i will slap the m3 drivetrain into it..

That looks like a piece of trim, one that prevents paint chipping when one swings their big 'ol 242 door open.

Never been hit it's just dirty. The wagon engine will more than likely end up in here. It's ready to go in. 1994 B230f. +16v RSI rods and big turbo. Don't know what eletronics to use yet. I wanna make it sneek past ca smog.

Saab strut inserts are ~ 2" shorter. So you cut 2" out of your strut tubes and use the shorter inserts and you can go really low and still have a little travel.

I have the built engine from my wagon but I don't know what to do. I thought of a n/a k-jet 16v but I'll leave it stock till something happpens. But it's only got 150k. I might swap in a aw71 because the 3 spd sucks. I dunno. I'm kinda in the air till I sell the m3.

Minor update. It now haz working a/c. Wat. Manual windows with no sun roof and no turbo auto tragic with no od but it has a/c.

That looks really good man. I like the hydras on it. I hated them for a while when I realized that they are all the same so they don't face the same way on each side. Everyone likes to hate on them but they look sick on your car. Keep working on it. Post pics. Motivate.:nod:

Yeah, that's a common place for failure on the 242's. I've had three doors that broke there. Looking good, I love the low stance + tucked hydras.

It helped to cut the bumpstops in half for alittle travel lol. It's getting Saab struts in the front soon and coilover like the black car.
