Here is a picture of a V70 R. I just got a R front bumper cover for my T5, it does not have the holes for the front license plate drilled in it and I would like to keep it that way, but if I don't have a front plate- I will (and have on multiple occasions) get pulled over. So what to do? Stick it in the front window? that would stink. Off to the side? Not very good either.
Suggestions??

i see them too.
or is it a reflection?
i would zip tie it too the left grill and take it off for photo shoots and such. just make sure to put some foam tape on the back side so it doesnt scrath up your paint.

attach it to the passenger side visor.
or leave it on the dash, but your idea is probably better

Texas's new license plates look horrendous so I took my front one off my R. I either toss it in the glove box or keep it on the dash (when I'm on a highway/interstate) but if I get pulled over I can easily produce my plate and say it fell off or the bracket broke or something similar.
Of course - I'm exceedingly charismatic and charming so I have no problem with handling people.

how is a volvo getting pulled over for missing front plate? seriously? I thought we were invisible to cops... except when sliding sidways through intersections or going 30+ over the limit of course

yeah, you can see holes in that pic- it is still the old cover- just to give you an idea of the front end (as if anyone didn't know!) I like the bracket off to the side idea- anyone else?

There's holes in the mounting position, jesus, just go spend the $10 on a front plate bracket!
I rocked every mounting position you can imagine...
Sun Visor...

I got tired of this because I still got harassed by cops over it and only managed to talk my way out of tickets with it. Here I can still be fined for 'No Front Plate' because it's not permanently affixed when it's held onto a visor with rubber bands. Technically as well, it's still behind the sun band, and it's also behind a layer of glass - which is the same as putting on a smoked front cover, legally speaking. In the rain, it's also invisible leading you to a meeting with a cop where he has to stand out in the rain and cold. He won't be so friendly about it. Passengers hated it, they flip it up all the time and don't like it down in their face, I got tired of it in my line of sight, the rubber bands break after a few months, and it looks like ****, very ghetto.
DashBoard...
no pic. Okay for a little while, but annoying, and lots of glare. Also you really need to tape it up, or wedge it into your seals. Wedging it into rubber seals is bad for the car, and taping it up looks like ****.
Zip Ties under the bumper:

Okay as a temp solution, but again, looks like ****. Punching through snowdrifts last winter was interesting, lost it once, and zipties don't last forever. You'll come out one day and it's hanging by one, double up the zipties on each side if you go this route.
You know what I settled on?

Perfect, clean, the plate is protected... Just get a nice surround for it like mine and it will look great.

Put it in the normal place. The sun visor, and dashboard and bodge on the side of the bumper all look cheap and nasty.

I say attach a large magnet to the rear of the bumper. Slap the plate on and off as needed.

drill new holes? or just dont have one. if you get pulled, tell cop <s>you just got new bumper and it doesn't have mounting holes</s> to **** off

Get a self tapping screw and just put it in.

Uh, except license plates are aluminum, a non-ferrous metal, dumbass.
