Do I want injectors in the head or mani?

So going from K-jet to MS I have this dilema. I don't know where I want the injectors. Will EFI injectors have issues with heat being closer to the valves if I install them in the head? My plan is to have a custom intake mani, as well as rebuild the head. So I'm not nessecarily looking for the easiest route. I want what's best for performance, and is cleanest. If I install them into the head, who's done it before? I searched for a thread with no results, but I've read here that it's been done.

I would say i the intake would be better as in the head you would run into issues with the fuel hitting the walls of the port before got to the valve and run the issue of not having proper atomization
