i just did the diode dealie to get my tach working with ms. im running for edis4 in my 242 and love it so far! my tach works at idle but after about 3k it just falls down to zero. i followed these instructions at the very bottom of this link. any ideas?

Put a 100K resistor across one of the 1N4004's. Works great. Oh, I also went with a 12V zener instead (Radio Shack).

Got the tip from here: Tim's Megasquirt-II 1973 BMW 2002 (http://www.hbci.com/%7Etskwiot/2002_MSII.html). I may eventually do what he did for the coils.

what do you mean accrost? having a problem visualizing that for some reason. i read his artical, very neat. but i cant imagine where the diode connects to and from. also what way does the line need to face for the 100k
