ok, as far as i know, i've got ms1, v2.2 board, homeade vr conditioning circuit( LM1815 ), edis 36-1 wheel, ford sensor(new) 9 teeth btdc, microphone wire(haven't grounded the shield yet, but figured i'd get something either way), subaru ignitor(hope it works, but it's downstream and shouldn't cause the lack of rpm signal).

i've got a base tune that was put on recently, but i don't know the exact version and i'm not going to reflash

i get the same readings in megatune and tunerstudio, no tach, but other readings work fine. let me know if you see anything off.

gonna check my wiring tonight too

Try grounding the cable first. Ground it at the ecu, don't ground it at both ends. In my experience microphone cable sucks. Both applications I've seen it in had nothing but problems. Switched them both to 18ga mil-spec shielded cable and have run flawless ever since.

I also replied to your other post explaining how to test your VR circuit on the bench.
