I'm looking for the settings needed for MSII S&E with the stock LH2.4 60-2 wheel and VR sensor in the stock location. I can't seem to find this anywhere.

Screens:

What's the trigger angle on the LH2.4 stuff?
Do I need to select falling edge or rising edge?

What's the tooth #1 angle btdc for the stock LH2.4 stuff?

Also, maybe a dumb question but I can't seem to find where to set the output for Spark B. I can set Spark A to D14, but where's B? Or will MSII set Spark B to D15 or D16 automatically? I'm going to run Audi COPs with internal driver's in wasted spark (got them wired up as Spark A is 1 + 4 and spark B would then be 2+3).

I'm pretty sure you need to install the pullup from LED17 to D14 and the spark B the pullup from LED19 to D16... I may be wrong on those values, but they are in the msns manual.

The hardware stuff is all done. It's the software I'm having problems with; it's the menus you just posted I cannot find in megatune when I select that I have a MS-II. They are only available with MS1 stuff. For MS-II the only ignition and trigger wheel options I can find are the two screens I've posted.

Edit: every info I can find about using these COPs in wasted spark with MSII S&E is with these two screens and Spark B is never mentioned.

set the tooth #1 to 85 degrees and try again. zero out trigger angle; make sure its wasted spark, and going low.

MS-II does not allow the explicit defining of individual events or spark outputs, you set it to the LED (d14 i think), and it will hit the next one in series, which should be D16 iirc.

trigger angle doesn't do anything for wheel decoder in MS-II iirc (but its been a year since I looked at that stuff)

oh and good luck with the audi coils, I had some porsche coils that I never could get to trigger with MS. You might have to do something creative with the hardware to get them working. Have you bench tested them to see if they work?

Audi cops work i used red ones. they all take different inputs the red ones needed a ground trigger so i used some 2n2222 transistors it ran I don't remember the trigger angle. it was over 70* you have 325 thats too high.

Thanks for the fast reply everyone.

Edit: I almost forgot, should it be rising edge or falling edge?

Yes I've tested them and I can get them to fire. The VAG has used a billion different COPs which all work differently. These fire when a 5V puls is put on the signal pin. They can be found on audi's 1.8T engine from 95 to 97 I believe.

Thanks, but 325 is what ms put in there as a default in my case ;-) I opened this thread to ask what it should be. I've entered 85 now :)

Using all the stock l.h 2.4 stuff my car is set up for MSII extra release 2.1.0p
Hope it helps

Offset 0.00
Ignition input: Rising Edge
Spark out: going high

Trigger wheel setting
Teeth: 60
Missing: 2
tooth angle is 84.0.
Tooth calc :360 / 60 = 6 dergres between teeth, 15 teeth past 1st missing is TDC #1 cylinder. that number 90 minus one tooth equals 84*) its in the manual somewhere.
