This is last minute, I know. I've been organizing this event through Volvo Sports America, but it is open to everyone. I've organized TB driving days in the past too, such as this one (http://forums.turbobricks.com/showpost.php?p=1286475&postcount=1).
Anyway, this event will be medium-paced, not crazy or anything. We will meet at the McDonald's in Fillmore, CA (right on the 126 in downtown Fillmore) at 10 AM, this Saturday. We'll basically head up north through Ojai, working east to eventually come down into Castaic. A lunch stop will be included--bring a few bucks for that.
I'll post more details soon, but wanted to at least get the word out. Hope to see a handful of TBers there!

OK, here's a map with the basic route: http://tinyurl.com/y8u94ft.
We will start in Fillmore (not Moorpark as shown at that link) at McDonalds (CA-126 at B Street) at 10 AM then head north through Ojai and beyond, turning right onto Lockwood Valley and then on through Frazier Park. For those who still want more after that, we will cross over I-5 toward Lake Elizabeth on Pine Canyon and eventually head down to Castaic via Lake Hughes Rd. Those who are done after Frazier Park will be able to head home on I-5.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

My car is currently taken apart. But I work at Six flags on that day so castaic would be a good run. Could i take my honda? just to get a look at the other Volvos

Any car is welcome! Check the map though--this is quite a long drive up through Frazier Park. Make sure you take that into account so you don't end up late for work :omg:

I might try and meet up with you guys in Ojai...do you have a general idea when you might get there?

Don, I think we'll get into Ojai between 11 and 11:15. I think it would be good to eat lunch there too. Know any good places? I've asked a friend who goes to Ojai all the time, so if he gives me a good lunch tip, I'll post it here, as that would be a good place to meet the group.

OK, let's plan to eat at Boccali's Pizza and Pasta. That's, at least, where we'll meet up. "Ojai Day" is going on downtown with food vendors, so that might lure us from Boccali's. But anyway, we'll meet at Boccali's between 11 and 11:15 AM. Here's the address:
3277 Ojai-Santa Paula Rd. Ojai, California 93023 (you may have to take a few side streets to bypass the downtown festival when cutting across to the east side of town)

3 cars make a traffic jam in Ojai...good luck! I'm gonna pass, I still have this cold/flu thing going on and spending the afternoon in a traffic jam in Ojai in 100 degree heat does not sound like a fun time right now. Have fun and take lots of water.

Note: this route map includes the optional final segment down Lake Hughes Rd into Castaic. I expect most people will just head down I-5 from Frazier Park and eliminate this leg. It is available, though, for anyone who wants more curves.
Lunch stop is point "B" on the map: www.boccalis.com. We will arrive there between 11 and 11:15 AM, I suspect. Again, have your own $ for lunch. I've also included a small detour in downtown Ojai to accomodate the "Ojai Day" festivies that will be going on.
