Where- CAPITOL RACEWAY
Route 3 South, Crofton, Maryland 21114

When- Sunday Nov. 15, 2009, raindate will be Sunday Nov. 22, 2009.

Why- East cannot fall victim this year!

What- Bring your car, your turbo Volvo, your non-turbo Volvo, your mom's Volvo, whatever, bring it out and race! If you have something fast or slow that's not a Volvo, bring that too, but only if you don't have a Volvo to bring!

I will be there with the 16vt 740 to race for the first time since dyno, Towery better be there with his 300hp 240, and Rob will be there with his epic win 242!

:rofl: 298hp, according to the 300hp club. I needed 264 wheel, only made it to 262 wheel.

Needs an inspection sticker if I'm to make it out in November. So we'll see...

MIR is too far away, plus I've never passed tech there. Capitol is easy, and if you show up early there's no problem with getting 3-4 runs in before it gets too busy. That's all I'll need anyway, hopefully :) I've never stayed there past lunchtime!

take all the race-car looking stuff out. I don't think they've even opened the hood on any cars in tech when I've gone through. And that includes plenty of fast ones in line next to me.

edit: i'll be there. in something. It's either a 18 in the 244 or 14-something in the 760.

i gotta finish the 244, gotta make it to DB to finish.

It's not the under hood, failed for no loop once, valve stems the 2nd time, they bitched about the cage not being registered or inspected or whatever, the harnesses being too old, etc. It's just tiring. At capitol I said I was gonna run 12-ish and the guy said cool, only mentioned I Shouldn't be running coolant, just water.

A blitz weekend might get the 244 on the road with the 242 motor in it, but that's asking a lot.

I need to photograph my time slip, which is almost within arms reach, but the camera is way over there, and I'm sitting down. Might take a while.

Matt, i am bringing the T-5R. not sure what it will do, but my money's on somewhere around high 13's, low 14's. I could be mistaken. My friend Jack will be running his 745 ti if he can get it back up to par. It ran 13.00 at Richmond on its last run, but he also busted the head gasket for the trouble. See you then....Mary

i don't see any reason that you can't run a 'vert, i see the mustang guys doing it. rule may be that the top has to be up and wear a helmet or something but i can't imaging they would ban you from racing a stock car when everyone else is allowed to.

From my experience, it's best to get there early and get in line. I've gotten a bunch of runs early and always been out of there well before closing time!

Getting ready this weekend, replaced the MAP sensor and its boostin' strong. Last thing is to cut some dead weight, don'e need a spare tire.... And have enough gas to get me up there to do my runs and get to the nearest gas station on my way back home.
