so today i had the day off from work. i decided i would try to finish up most of the work on the 740, since its getting closer to the winter and therefore closer to parking the mustang for a month or two. got the brakes all finished today...new pads from ipd. i bedded them as per the directions that came with them, but i think i gotta get some new rotors at some point...they stop fine though, so i'm not worried. since it is still not registered/insured, i only went one road over from my street.

on that short drive, i have found some more things wrong with it.. as i'm pulling away after stopping, the car doesn't want to go above 3000 rpm. it does this when i have it in "D" and also when i'm changing it myself. it also smelled like burning after i parked it when i came back, so could it be low on tranny fluid? when i get it road legal, i was gonna get the tranny flushed and all that.

also, the tail lights still dont want to work. i replaced all the fuses for the lighting (was having problems with the parking lights before) and they still dont work. is there a problem with the circuit boards on the 90+ 740s messing up?

anywho, here are the pics. just a quick wash. it needs another coat of wax real bad.

Don't know about 7's but on my 2's i've scrubbed the contact patches with an, emery cloth?, and that got them to work a little better. You prolly already know this, just though i'd try and help:-P

And nice ride

i've still actually got to pull them off to see if anything can be soldered or cleaned. there is water in one of them, so i'm betting something is disconnected.

yea its weird. i haven't seen another 15 inch steelie that looks like that. its the same size and offset as the other steelies.

thanks man. i'm trying my best to not mod it. i may pick up a b230ft and drop it in. idk. i am itching to get into something turbo again..

Looks good Stephen, needs another inch at the front, maybe two. Need some dark tint for your white and black theme.

yea, i'm thinking one more coil in the front will do it. i'm gonna pick up some autozone window tint and try it myself.. i dont feel the need to spend 150+ for someone to tint a car that i got for free
