hey everyone, i haven't been to these boards since my 122 was totaled, may it rip...
anywho that was like 2 years ago almost so none of you remember me i'm sure. But since i lost that 122 wagon (which was also my first car) i've been on a mission. A voyage to find a black on black leather 4sp elec od 87-89 turbo wagon in origonal condition. So get this, i went on craigs list like 2 weeks ago, and there was THIS CAR posted , but the add was like 3 weeks old :grrr: I emailed the guy anyway. Turns out, he still had the car and was now only asking $1700, down from the origional $2400. I was stoked to say the least!!
So now i'm the happy new owner of a 1989 1740 turbo wagon, manual and all. Its in great shape guys, wish i could post pictures right now, but its being checked out by a mechanic.
the car has 225k miles on it, but runs very strong. Its MUCH faster than i would have ever imagined. Engines clean, new clutch/tires, smog. But theres some stuff wrong obviously... no raido (it was stolen, so small damage to the dash around it) small dent on rear left door, and the problem that i actually care about... when its idleing sometimes it will rev up a little bit (w/o me touching the gas) from like 1k to 1.5 rpms, sometimes it goes to 2k rpms, bad O2 sensor? i don't know, anyone know?
Anywho, i'll snap some pictures of it later today and post em up as soon as i learn how!!
