Hello all. I've gotten my T5 installed and I got my driveshaft in. When I first backed it out I could tell that the driveshaft was WAY out of alignment, so i pulled it back in and lifted the trans up a bunch now it's way better, but it still is screwed up.
When I take off the torque transmissed through the driveshaft wants to toss the trans around so to say, Looking down at the slip yolk at the end of the trans, you can see the trans wiggling around as i take off and the yolk bangs into the car a little, it's driveable but any load applied shakes the drivetrain.
So I know my driveshaft is way out of alighment, but I'm clueless when it comes to driveshafts, so can someone give me some tips on how to get it correct.
Thank you!

Cool, thanks.
I've been reading and thinking a lot, and I think it's because I've got my trans mount tilted a little to the right or left, along with having it tilted down, that would naturally make the u joint want to twist.

well, today I worked on it again for a few hours before I went in for the night. The transmission was almost 3/4 of an inch off to the right in the tunnel inder the car. Got it to within 1/16 of an inch and I also raised the trans up a bit more and fixed the broken bolt in my center bearing holder that was letting it flop around. I thinght it was going to be perfect, as I'd changed so much, but it BARELY made a difference. The slip yolk dosen't actually hit the body when taking off, it's actually the u-joint after the center bearing, it scrapes the top and sides of the tunnel. Something is also making either the slip yolk or something around there rattle like a MOTHER F*CKER when going above 30. Around those speeds it only rattles when i let off the gas, but on the highway it does it all the f*cking time excepy if I'm barely on the gas. If I hit the clutch it still does it, and if I downshift it still does it, and holy crap is it annoying.
So I've got more messing around with it to do. I think my center bearing holder is also shot, the rubber is coming unglued from the metal.
Has ANYONE AT ALL ever had a problem with their driveshaft not working correctly. I'm so sick of the stupid thing.

Did you verify that your engine mounts were good? Other items include proper clocking of the u-joints along the driveshaft. The line passing through the axis of the differential pinion should also be parallel with a line passing through the transmission output shaft. Hope this helps, sorry if I've repeated the obvious.
