View Full Version : Can v70/v90 side skirts directly fitted to 740/940?
I think the lines of the 740 would be greatly improved from side skirts like the v90 has, are they a direct fit?

I think the V90 skirts will fit. I seem to recall Nick Choy doing that after talking with Pete Moorcroft in the UK, so you might try emailing Nick. If you want his email, drop me a message at towerymt@yahoo.com

Yes the ydo, the early model 740s need to have the holes for the hardware drilled to be able to install them. Later model 740s should have the holes.
Late.
how are the skits fitted? Are they bolted on the ends and have clips in the middle?
Just want to make sure they are not glued or anything.

Full dealer retail is only $110 a side for these. Could probably find them pretty cheap.

so u think i would have to do much to get htem to stick to a 1990 760 turbo
This is what Nick Choy says;
"Yes, they do bolt on (sort of). I attached them with the stock front
mounting, which is a plastic mud guard thingy that holds the front portion,
and there's supposed to be square holes in the rocker panel steel where
these plastic clips go in, and they slide on the skirt. Well, since my car
didn't have these square holes, I opted for 3M adhesive... the kind that car
shops use to hold body kits on. And I tacked it in the rear, front area of
the rear wheel well, with a small sheetmetal screw. This is all that holds
these skirts on my car, and they stay on just fine."
Here is Nick's car-
