I like your cars. Those affordable changes make a nice difference. There should be a warning sticker on the spoiler. You must be sure to use the proper wheels with a front spoiler. You can use alloys or the 1981-
newer steel wheels with the bigger slots. Otherwise your brakes don't get
enough cooling. I can't see your wheels in the pic so don't know what
your driving on.

I like engine conversions. I have a 1966 MGB GT with 289 4spd in it.
It's high up the restoration list but not number one yet.

Yeah, its got the warning sticker. I'm not terribnly worried about warping my rotors since I'm swapping from solid to vented. I'm also making some wheel changes, probably widened steelies.

I've seen one that Carrol Shelby did, it was pretty sweet. Sounds cool and thanks!

It's because of the calipers getting too hot that they warn you. You know fade from boiling brake fluid. It's mainly with reference to mountain driving. I'm sure you'll be fine with the vented rotors. You could probably snag some nice Volvo alloys from the salvage yard. The 700 series wheels fit as well and they look nice on 240s.

Yeah, I saw some on a turbo wagon today.. But I'm holding out for either Virgo's or my steelies.

Some say that the warning stickers on Volvo spoilers are just a liability avoidance thing, and that there is no difference with the spoiler fitted.

I don't know, All the Volvo's I've ever driven have had alloys, but I tend to agree.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it unless you take the car to the track, or do some really spirited alpine driving.

thats the std front spoiler that came with 240 if you ordered it or it was a GLT . I dont think the front spoiler would upset cooling the front brakes since they arent ducted in the first instance .
