I love the Hydra wheels (Hydro/Hydra?), best looking 16 you can put on a 2 or 7 series volvo, I've had my eye out for some since I got my 760 Turbo.

What do the Titans look like though? I don't think I've seen a pic of them before.

These are titans. best looking volvo wheel with teh exception of Volan and Polaris. I would guess a good set of hydras with no tires is worth ~250-550, just because they are common as *&^%. Interestingly they are the same weight as Gemini wheels, just 6.5" wide instead of 7". Another interesting thing is that hydras cost more new than Gemini's, but used Gemini's often sell for more because of rarity. I am after some Gemini or Volans as we speak.

The Gemini are better looking 16"s!

They are sweet wheels in many respects (weight, width and looks), and they look good on 240's aswell as 740's. On 740's I think Hydras look about equally good. I really like galaxy wheels too, they have a nice deep lip, but sadly don't look very good on 740's :( . IF I had a 240 and wanted OEM wheels, galaxy would be near the top of the list. I want the 7" width to stretch some 205/50-55/ZR16's on. Sidewall flex is the enemy.

Titan's now there is a great wheel, so the question is where are they available and for how much?

Yeah, Titans look good, actualy I like that particular car too, sweet ride.
Can't say I'd be keen to use 17's on my every day street car though, and I only got one car so I'd never go bigger than a 16 with a 205/55 or 215/50.

I don't know about the Gemini wheels, they don't have the class of the Hydras, I've seen some 700's with the Geminis and the design looks to old for them (and kind of hoon car like), saw them on a 200 though and they did look ok.
That swept 5 spoke design of the Hydra just does it for me, although I also wish they came in a full 7inch width, you really can't beat a good wide wheel for reducing sidewall flex.

The Galaxy to me only seems to suit the newer cars, looks out of place on the early 700s and the 200s.
And maybe it's just me, but 17's and larger just look like a wank to me on 200s and older cars in general.

My Volvo has strange mags, 15 inch with a huge stainless steel centre cap, only ever fitted to the 85 760 I think.
My fathers new 87 740 Turbo Estate has Dracos on it, I think he could be interested in selling them.

205-55's will fit on a 6" wide rim. Granted this is the widest you want to go, I haven't had any problems with it. I plan on running 225-45zr-15's (hello hoosier) on 15x7 wheels for track use, and I believe they will perform very well. :boink:

I'm a fan of the Galaxy rims... Hyrdas are pretty cool, but not rare enough (i've seen more than 1 of them LoL)

215/40/16 on 16x7 Gemini and a 3" drop. That's the plan, just need to find the wheels. :P Otherwise I'll be forced to use 17x7.5 replica Polaris wheels. Oh well, either way I'll be happy.

Hydra- wheels from Volvo

Hydro- type of marijuana you can get from local wankstas.

I really like Hydras, I don't like any fwd rims cause they have no lips.
