I expected the DSM to pounce on the Volvo, but what caught me off guard is how damn quiet your car is!!!

at WOT you can barely hear yourself think in my car and I've got a smaller exhaust...

Is the tranny in the DSM going by any chance? The shifts seemed slow.

Also, are you using a video bridge or a digital camcorder for this stuff?

I downloaded one...are they all at night? I couldn't see anything except some taillights go by near the end.

Well, his 2nd and 3rd synchros are totally shot... so he has to match the revs to shift. Once its in gear though, and the T04R turbo spools... watch out. All you can hear in the videos is his wastegate... :)

They are at night... but you should be able to get the idea... we wanna do some more in the day but there is considerably more traffic.

My exhaust is a 3" pipe straight from the cat out to the rear of the car... its suprisingly quiet, but is louder than the camera catches.

Its an Olympus C-3000Z 3 megapixel digital camera, it takes 30-second quicktime movies too. I'm currently in the search for a good sony or canon mini DV camcorder... once I get that I can make some production-quality films. Already have the experience, just need the damn equipment. Anyone wanna make a donation? :lol

How does that exhaust affect the bottom end?

Reduced off-boost power, but improved spool time and top end flow immensely. Can't wait until I get a full 3" from the turbo back on in a few weeks.

Would you say that it's worth the lack of off-boost power? I was thinking of installing either a 2.5" or 3" system on my car.

Definetly. I spool the turbo up more now just driving around, but theres nothing wrong with that, right? :)

Wondering... was that your tach flopping around from 2000 to 4000 at the end of the uhh... outrun movie? I was a bit concerned... It looks like my dad's speedo, with its loose sensor (it flops around like a loose rubber dildo

But still you get so much more fun than I do... :urgod:

The motor is just worn out... bounces all over the place.

Don't know if I'd equate it to a sex toy though...?

Hey robin, check check the rpm sender, I was having problems with the tach doing that, and it turned out that the RPM sender was shorting out on the alternator bracket, making it go whacky... also this is what the computer thougth the car was doing... :nono:

Hmmm......I won't go there :P

As for I hate electrical crap

I agree totally. Doesn't help that Volvo has kinda flaky electrical systems IMO. :x
