I bought these 17x7.5 Audi tt wheels (they're Ronals) to put on my Jetta, which I did for a while, then went back to stock. Now I'm thinking about putting them on the 245. They are et35, so I thought with 1.5in adapters, they could fit pretty well. They currently have 225/45 Kumho Ecstas. What do you think?

Nice.
I would go with the minimum adapter at 20mm for an et of 15..

They seem nice, how about the back? Any pics? I'm interested how do they fill the back arches.

They go nice with the color of that car. Wouldnt let them poke too much cause of the 'outward design'

Yeah, I think so. As it is, they're sitting right against the studs, which are probably 1.25 in. or so, and they seem to poke a bit, which I don't like. In general, I'm surprised i like them as much as I do. I dream of deep dish wheels for my 245, and these aren't them! Still cool looking though, and better in person.

At least get 25-30mm spacers for the rear.

Haha, that's kind of what I think. Not hating on Pegs, but I've never been that crazy about them on 240, but the Audi wheels have a little more shape to them, so they seem to work somehow. . .or I could just paint my Virgos white and call it a day!

That SHIZZZZZZZZZZZZZ LOoks da BoMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Redwood though,

Go with the minimum adapter...can you find a 20mm for the front and go big in the back?

for sake of handling, you'll appreciate the closer to proper offset, and it'll still fill those cubby holes wit some rubbhazzzzzzzzz!

I-ve been looking at the pics since yesterday, and something isn't right, those are nice wheels, but they seem a bit too much for 245...

it would look fine, better than stock wheels.

looks too much like a wagon wheel. Just my opinion.

I really like the wheel but I dont think the style fits the 240. For me it looks like the metal part of the wheel is popping out too far, but that could be because I'm so used to seeing a 240 with some sort of dish

also remember, those wheels aren't actually bolted to the car, they are laying against the hub with a jack under the axle. it may look better once it's bolted up.

I like them, they look better then pegs, they are simple enough for a 240, but I wouldnt be my first choice.

This. Wouldn't be my first choice, but seeing as you have them lying around, may as well, and it certainly doesn't look bad. Yes, big expensive wheels you don;t yet have might look better, but that definitely looks better than stock. Also, tread wear pattern looks dangerous on those tires. Your dub running ridiculous -ve camber or something?

If you already have adapters for them do it.

The people telling you not to are the same ones running stock itty bitty wheels.

I appreciate everyone's comments. I'm still undecided about them, since I would still have to buy the adapters and replace two of the tires (they were worn when I bought the wheels), so it's not exactly cheap. A fresh clutch and more boost :oogle: might be a better way to spend the money (haha, as if I actually HAVE the money). My Virgos have sticky tires, so it's not like I'm in a terrible way with my current setup.
