Here's my baby: It's got a B230FT, 4.10 LSD, M46 w/ OD button relocated to dash, poly bushings and IPD suspension all around, interior boost control knob, custom Boost and Air:Fuel gauge pod. It sure is a lot of fun.

The previous owner had them installed and had them re-upholstered to match the stock back seat. I'm not sure what the brand is, but I think the may be Recaros...

I guess you bought this off an iPd employee?

Very lucky of you.

Yes, originally built by the IPD Special Projects Manager. I'm just the caretaker for now.

What turbo is that? And nice car! I bet it's buzzy on the highway with a 4.10 rear and an M46.

It's a 13G from an '02 XC70 (also where the intercooler comes from).

A little, it sits right at 3,000rpm when cruising at 75. Not the most buzzy car I've ever owned, however...

Take good care of it mate, Lucky put a lot of time and energy into that car and she's a beaut! Killer price it was listed for too.

She's in good hands. I drove to Salem from Seattle to get it because I couldn't let it go -- incredible deal.

You have a 242 that is 77 feet long? How do you drive it?

I'm sure this has a even better b21ft bottom end with a 530 head. Glad to see this car back in the Volvo community

I am jealous. I have an m45 with no overdrive and I am at 3,800ish rpm at 75mph. I need to get another 5-speed.

And, did the OD switch move to the dash to mimic the old P1800s where the switch is under the steering wheel?

No, it's right down by the dash light dimmer knob -- you can see it if you look in the pictures, a little silver round button.

Glad to see it's now in the hands of someone here! Got any plans for it? Or just drive it and keep it nice?

Funny how Volvos and Volvo parts pass around. The instrument cluster in your car originally came out of my 16vT 245.

Its a 3.54 with like a 23.8 inch tire.

I get around 25-26 mpg on the highway cruisin at 4k rpm. I make 500 mile round trips almost every weekend with this car. The buzz is the worst with the urethane engine mounts.

Nice, clean car. Any plans for it?

DustoffDave

Plans right now consist of mostly minor, cosmetic stuff (replacing lightbulbs, sprucing up the interior, fixing the 20mph discrepancy on the speedo, adding a horn, etc). Mechanically it's so solid that there really isn't much to be done.
