Hey Guys, I've got a couple questions here. I'm from Canada.
1. In Canada we have the B21ET, and B230ET, are there any differences between these motors compared to the American B21FT and B230FT other than the slightly higher compression ratios, and Fuel/Ignition systems? I have been reading alot in the modifications section about modifying the B230FT and B21FT motor, and have done some research on parts, and was wondering if they should all fit on the canadian motor, or would I need to find an American B230FT? My plan would be to put a late '89 - '93 B230ET motor into a 242, and follow the "Making Your 700 or 900 Volvo Go Fast!" articles staged modifications up to Stage 3. Will I run into alot of problems having the Canadian version? I would definetly be running Premium + fuel to make up for the compression, and from my understanding everything else should work out fine.
2. What kinds of problems would I run into putting a B230ET directly into a 240 (either 242 or 244)?
Sorry if these questions sound a little lame, but i'm really hoping there aren't any other differences with the B230ET and B230FT that'd stop me from following the "Making Your 700 or 900 Volvo Go Fast!" Stages. Thanks Guys!
