The diesels in the older Volvos are kinda loud... it's a Volkswagen LT engine :p
so it's a truck engine, a lot of locals have the VW LT, though one friend has a 740 with the diesel, it sounds like a huge truck is coming at ya, with a loud whining turbo, it's almost cool :p


so...this is the truck the Volvo diesels come out of. :p

yuck, the d24 is slow enough in a 240, gotta be even worse in that heavy thing.

I heard that some VW LT's had a 3,5 (or something) liter version of the D24 engine that might bolt right in. D35TIC 245, do want.

i was thinking about entering a cheap ass drift series with a 240 diesel.

got my inspiration from these guys.

A basic 3.0 diesel mercedis engine only mods: diff feul pump & diff oil pump.

Oh, and a BIG turbo they pulled of a scania (think its a garrett GT40)

they have got a new gerabo now and are using volvo parts to get more angle on the front wheels.
