I'll fix into a runner, sell, and put the money into the 945 and TDI.

New fuel pumps and interior also.

Oh my God, I want it.

Too bad Ben didn't give me a free car. I need another crappy daily driver.

hope you got it free, that thing needs a lot of work but will be a good sell once it's a decent runner.

Runs good as is. Mostly cosmetic issues... Some work, just a bit time consuming, nothing heavy.

Chris... Come get it... for a price! I have a hankerin' for 2.4!

Nope. I don't go north of the river if I don't have to.:)

This was from a friend of mine that I've done some work for. He said I could have it 2-3 years ago, and after some minor hassles, I went out to Dripping Springs last night with a tow dolly and got it home.

If you know of one sitting, why don't you just go knock on the door?

Got the fuel pump off, going to try to free it up overnight with carb cleaner and PB. I'll get the sender out tomorrow, and probably install a good used in-tank pump. Hopefully it will be running by nightfall!

Window from Jared, and all that's left is cosmetics...

Psss... Those are going back into the storage area with the other 2 that doni't have tires. I think they'll end up on either the n/a 242, or the 894.5 242Ti. Nice wheels, super light, and nice looking. Surprised that I haven't used them before.

Not going to clean it up too much, Chris. Just get the lights replaced and working, a new RR bumper shock (got one?:)), and a real good interior clean. After that, off to someone new...

Maybe you're not familiar with Austin, but I live in the center of a liberal/progressive cioty, and there is always a market for Volvo's. Especially wagons! I will make a few dollars on the car, but it's more a hobby than a business... Just enough to cover my expenses, but not my time.

Drop by, Chris... I'm home all day with the boy. Bring the bumper shock.

I'll have time probably. There's this nerdy SXSW video game convention I want to check out, so I'll just swing by later.

If it didn't come with 4 sirius wheels then I would sell those two and either roll it on steelies or better yet hydras/dracos if you want even more money for it when you go to sell. I'm probably stating the obvious, but the 2 siriuses could at least get you some cash to get started fixing it up. Nice find, good luck with it!

Cash isn't the problem, time is. Between the full time job, a 9 month old, and trying to keep my wife happy, Volvo's are way down the list! I do have 2 more sirius wheels sitting in storage, these just happened to have tire good enough for towing.

Anyone in the Austin area is more than welcome to most of my parts for small money, and they know that. Excepting the more rare stuff, I should probably trash most of it and reclaim my garage!

Allright...

Starts, runs and drives!

Took a new (used) fuel tank, sending unit, in-tank and main pump, and new (used) fuel rail/injectors/FPR. But it runs great! Has tailights now, and I've started on the interior...

Still needs tires, a battery, a rear window, a master cylinder, and other assorted things. Mainly just setting things right after being down so long...

But it's on its way!

I'm jealous. I guess he needed it gone faster than I could take it. No worries, with my schedule it probably wouldn't have made the progress you have in a week!

As for the note, the 2 options I know of would be to mask it and shoot clear over it, or take a hi-res photo and have somone make a decal/sticker from it.

Finish it up and bring it up to G'town on the 9th!

It's not how little the LAST thing was, it's everything that led up to that point.

Between the tranny, HG, and the "I was sneezing and hit someone", seems like you and the the 940 don't have good karma...

Just sayin'...
