I felt the need to make a new thread for this seeing as I didn't know where to post this.
Here's the craigslist ad.

I remember one from a while ago that had a jeep cherokee grafted underneath it. Dash and all.

Well, you see.....when a man meets a woman, they do things, then the woman does a ton of crack and has a baby, then the baby grows up and creates this. no offence.

I've been debating doing a mild version of this with my wagon - something like a 2" body lift and fitting bigger tires. The onset of mud season in the north east prompts all sorts of harebrained ideas.

I'd love to do that to a wagon one day

Keep debating. They're unibody so no body lift

I look at that wagon and the paintcode is fantastic baby blue. I then wonder that GM drivetrain junk could be removed, and then a stock crossmember put back in, and a proper volvo drivetrain put back in.. But I see the fenders have been hacked and yeah it's a lost cause. Who the **** wants a S10 / Jeep Bastardised 245. I don't, especially @ that price.

The guy that made that thing lived near me (in Camino/Pollock Pines). Lots of meth probably went into it's conception.

I'd consider buying it if it were $2000 cheaper.

Wouldn't spacing the subframes/drivetrain etc down be a body lift, like alot of subarus guys do, except volvos dont have a bolt on type subframe like subie's do.

So it's a moot point. :)

I remember one from a while ago that had a jeep cherokee grafted underneath it. Dash and all.

I remember seeing that one on eBay, few years ago. Certainly the harder way to make a 240X4. It had the whole firewall, dash, floorboards, seats, etc from the Jeep, and a 240 wagon body with the floor cut out lowered on to it and welded together in a massive ring of MIGging.

Yeah just a waste of a formerly nice original 245.

Sad face over the paint color. I have your former 245 sitting here at work right now, the car Pat owns.

Yep. He didn't want my FREE 145 with a cherry body from the cowl back and perfect parts to replace the front hit. It's not like he needed the suspension.

Oh well.

That there is the rare 244 with the GLX option.

Don't forget the even rarer GTX option.
