Or, CarLustBlog $1500 Challenge, take 2.
She's a hottie - a strong, sexy Swedish girl with Italian designer clothes. Picked her up for $1400 on CL. 186,000 miles and still running strong. Straight and clean with the exception of a couple of minor dings and scratches, a cracked taillight and a cracked windshield. Runs and drives pretty good, but needs a full stage zero. Interior is good, except for the usual cracked dash and non-functional power seat switches. Nivomats are shot, so those will be swapped for some real shocks and springs in the near future.

The throttle response seemed a bit off when I test-drove it, so when I stopped for lunch I poked about the throttle body to see if anything was amiss. Sure enough, the throttle cable had slipped off the pulley groove and was trapped between the throttle pulley and the kickdown pulley. Set it right and adjusted the play and now we gots all kinds of power.
I'll be doing all the usual stuff, if I can get to 200-220 WHP I'll be happy, and that's easy enough. All I need now is time and money...
