Presenting My 87 244 M47

Its about time I stopped lurking.

To introduce myself, I have been into Volvo's for a few years. I started with a 97 854 T-5, in which many people will attest was one of the cleanest cars they've seen.

Back in January I decided to try something different, and obtained an 87' 244 5spd.
The car had 192k miles on it, but had every record since new. I wasn't convinced on buying it when I first went to look at it, because it had a few deep scratches and 2 dents (which could be fixed pretty easily). Once I saw the interior though (Grey on black) I was sold. it was MINT.
Anyways My goal was to make this car unique, and it is starting to seem that way.
List of stuff I have already done:
First Minute I got it home, I tore off the front DOT plate, and stuck a euro plate on.
Projector Retrofit (Morimoto Mini H1's, with Morimoto 4300k bulbs).
Replaced corner lights, fitted clear top corner bulbs, and polished the headlights.
Got rid of the tainted and damaged original steelies with some Corona's.
Painted the inside of the new wheels black, and left the outside as metal, with clear-coat.
Removed the Rear Muffler, and re-routed exhaust to come right out the back passenger side.
Added a Mustang tailpipe, and at the same time did a 3inch PVC snorkel intake.
Added Decals, and a Giant window banner, which you guys will probably hate me for.
Recently I have bought some Tethy's to put on, but am awaiting money for spacers.
And Lastly I chopped the front springs 2 coils, with the help of an awesome VS member.

Nice 244 man! It's funny because I dealt with mine the same way as you when I got it.

I replaced the yellowed headlights (worse than yours believe it or not):

Thanks for the replies, sorry I took so long to respond, I've been on vacation.

Yes That was me at XXX, and I still got that VS banner on it.

My next mod will hopefully be an early front end including, flathood, single round headlights, and the accompany'ing grille, the problem is trying to find these parts for a good deal, so I will have to scour every junkyard around.
Hopefully before Ipd this may, I will have the car on the Tethy's (which are now black), and have it sitting a few inches lower.

And as for the tranny, its beautiful. I just need to put some new bushings in the shifter, although it still feels great.

Picking up a pair of early fenders in a couple weeks. Just need the lower panel beneath the headlights to complete my 79 conversion. You might be done first though.

Probably not, I have yet to get any parts for it at all, Although come to think of it, I could probablly find some good stuff at Ipd's Garage sale, and do a quick swap mid car show :lol:

As for right now, I'm stuck on where to get 25/32mm adapters for the wheels, I'm almost to the point of selling the wheels, and getting something else.

The metal panel I need is the same on 75-85 240s. single round, dual round, dual rectangular, etc. It's just not the 86+ panel, which is different.

Got some pre-86 parts cars? I'm interested...

The sheet metal swap is easy, but I've gotta widen the fenders, so that will take some planning cause it will take some time and I'm no fabricator.
