Purchased this 1983 Intercooled 240 about 3 months ago. Didn't run, and needs a lot of help. Slowly and steadily it's coming along.

Yeah, I was pumped when I found it. Not a bad score for 600 dollars.

When my brother picked up his 82 242 Turbo, in 1993. It came with a blue cloth interior, white exterior, no intercooler, automatic transmission, and it definately was not the police version. Not a bad car by any means. I even got to drive it once or twice. :-)

Um please get rid of the accordian pipe between the intercooler outlet pipe and the throttle body elbow. I am almost certain that its a boost leak, unless the pipe is threaded into the connector with some kind of sealant or something. Trust me.

This. They are not meant to hold pressure.

The guy I bought it from had it on there like a newbie. I'm having trouble finding the original stock inter-cooler hose. @scottyd, my plans for the car I'm kinda coming up with on the fly. Probably a nice pearl white color for the outside, keepin the rad blue interior, and probably a new set of rims.

Just got done at a Korn, Disturbed, and Sevendust concert last night, will post some more pictures once I feel up to speed.

The motor all cleaned up. New parts, new gaskets, cleaned turbo, new vacuum lines. Regrettably the accordion pipe is still there.

The seats are in excellent shape with only a few small rips, and there was a bonus door panel in the back seat.

Any feedback is appreciated good and bad. New suspension arrives on Friday. Hopefully I will have the bogus spring pan repaired by then.

I'm feeling wide 14" steelies for this car.

Too bad about the rust as it looks pretty widespread.

Know what's good about being a welder and a sandblaster. Anything metal can be fixed. ;-)
