Hi,

Quick intro here: I'm Rich and live in Dublin, Ireland. I don't have a turbo and I don't have a brick. I do however have a Volvo and I do have a hole in the dash to fill....

So I've been scouting around for information on Volvo head units that will fit in that slot. It's 200-series, low mount sized.

There aren't many (if any) Volvo head units floating around in these parts, so I thought I'd cast the net across the globe and ask around and see what info can be had.

Cheers,
Rich

get a modern headunit and a single-DIN adapter + adapter for the wireing harness....

That would be the quick way out, but I'm thinking more in terms of 1982 period stuff...

like an MTS set:

or a 4 Microprocessor:

I know some users have experience of the 4 Microprocessor, if you have one, what are the frequency jumps on the North American specification ones? 0.2Mhz odd steps?

edit: and a 200 series is a brick

Why? Because I like old electronics stuff.

I used to have a 240DL estate a long time ago. The radio isn't for a brick, but a low-mount unit from a brick will fit. ;-)
