Fix your windshield! lol.

The weather is improving here, too. Lots of classics came out of the woodwork last weekend. Saw 3-4 different Chevelle SS clones rolling around last week.

Yeah gotta replace it one of these days, been waiting for that because every winter my windshields being damaged cause of bad roads..
Cant wait to get my Impala on the road (and get busy to get the 242 ready for next summer) :cool:

haha yeah ive been in the B, and I know the road conditions over there.. over here when the roads are bad we call them 'Belgian roads' actually ;)
But during the 'harsh' winters last years we had some big potholes here 'n there causing loose rocks and **** hitting my windshield.. but we can still drive 160 fortunately :cool:

In my daily 940 with ease, but the 242 also (barely) hits 160 on the speedo. Think the 5spd plays a big part in that. Its a little noisy though :P

a bit unrelated, but does anyone wave or give a thumbs up when you 'meet' another volvo on the road? i mean i dont greet newer volvos but i always put up my hand or give a thumbs up when i spot an older volvo.. and i often get a thumbs up or greetings on the road from other volvo enthusiasts..

I drove behind a 245 just 5 minutes ago. And Funkee, that Impala is mega super awesome. I bet you're going to American Sunday next sunday? :-P And of course I greet other old Volvo drivers. Usually a thumbs up or I flash my lights. I usually don't greet new Volvo drivers, unless they wave first :-P

King Cruise in Muiden is a good show by the way, lots of cars and easy to drop by and roll off again. Also the car is in bits and pieces right now, hope to get it repainted next week and have it done around may.

When I see a nice classic I give a thumbs up sometimes, but mostly I dont.

Today again some nice 1/200 series on the road again :cool:

I've been to King Cruise a few times. A friend of mine has a '73 Buick Riviera (which recently got a 454 Chevy big block with around 400/500 hp) so sometimes I join him when he goes there.

The 244 with the B19A will hit 160 speedo km/h but the 245 with the clearly noticably stronger B21A will only go to 150. Poor aerodynamics? Maybe just inaccurate speedometers.

yeah in general theyre as smooth as silk over here, and cracks and holes are being repaired alsmost overnight.

In the middle of my project to put in a 80s 240 dash/instrument cluster into my 1973 142. This also incorporated the swapping of the heater core/blower motor housing as the original unit was totally fubar'd. During all the work kept all the wiring intact so I could move and drive the car around. This is what it looked like when I finished::

In looking at the instrument cluster, wanted to retail the older 142 style temp gauge faces with the green/orange/red colors. Swapped the temp and gas gauges from the 142's original cluster into a 240 set up. Needed to modify them a bit to fit in place but it wasn't that hard. Swapped the needles to orange ones from the 240 gauges as the ones from the 142 were white.

On I-95 south right above Philly on my way to Delaware I saw this thing. Had PA plates, in really decent shape but had some rust on the chrome bumper and a paint bubble on the front driver door at the bottom corner.

Shoot, those Amazon's are still whipping around like they are common place. I have randomly seen one Amazon on the road in the last 7 yrs, WTF!

Well, some cherish them, soms just drive them as a daily just for the cheaps. But they're pretty much all Volvo enthusiast or bearded ex hippies who spill oil on their driveways and don't care about social problems anymore.

264 I saw today. I saw a red Amazon as well but it was 3 cars ahead so I couldnt get a good picture
