I am not a huge fan of two-tones but having two shades of the same color (like this) can be pulled off. Also, its always a good idea to have the darker color on the bottom. Any reason for doing this? Current paint issues or just for fun?

maybe try doing it on the body line. it just doesn't flow well with it at the trim line in my opinion.

he has patches of an in-between blue where he's done rust repair. Personally, I like the idea of white below the beltline.

bad idea around here. I'm only lowered in the front, iPd springs, and I scrape EVERYWHERE.

I might do a similar 2 tone but using a lighter shade of blue in a 87' 740.

That's racist.

Well for Canada, most non-whites are South or East Asian, so to be politically correct the bottom of the car would have to be brown or yellow. ;-)

As for the two-tone blue, I wasn't sure at first, but now I think that it would work.

Why would you f up the best 240 color?

John2x240

As far as I'm concerned, British Racing Green (a/k Napier Green) is the best colour for Volvos ... and most other cars for that matter.

There is photos of a US 245 with a met silver blue over a mid met blue and they had a early 142 painted the same colours. It looked good
