First off, that tire size is way off.

2 coils all around.

with the right lowering it will look good, I'm convinced. Gonna fit those tyres on 16x9" steelies

Cut zero. Replace springs and struts and shocks with ones that are MUCH stiffer and lower if you want it to look good on 215/40/16.

3 in the front and youre as low as you can go on factory struts.. And its not even low enough, for me atleast. You need coilovers.

who needs springs anyway. i'm gonna take off all my suspension and weld it rigid. the tires can be the suspension.

All depends on the offset of the wheels.

I know right?

Ridiculous. my 205/50's look retarded, 215/40's gotta have similar sidewall. not much room for stretching

Cut til it looks good. It won't ride good. But it will be low.

I think you're going to want a taller tire to get rid of that wheel gap.

3 coils is my max too, after that it's not worth it.

In regards to cutting springs... each car is different. If you aren't sure I recommend cutting 2 in front and 1.5 in back and checking ride height. You can always cut off more, hard to add. :-P If you know you want it really low start at 2.5F/2B.

My base model 83 242dl (light) has 5 coils cut in front and still has a little travel using custom thin bump stops and KYB struts.
