Woohoo, it's almost done! Since these pics all the welding has been finished. We've been trying to keep it simple and clean, so far I'm really happy with it. Final assembly will be this week and next week, I can't wait to drive!

Thanks guys. I guess you are referring to the intake manifold? I am for now, I still have the factory intercooler, trans, wheels, etc. that need to soak up any available cash, hahaha. I would like something else someday, but I've made the intake a little better by grinding the s**t out of it, increased diameter of throttle body hole over 7mm when I made the 3" throttle body adapter.

what turbo is that? not really understanding why you are using the turbo's wg hole and not tapping into the manifold, but i guess that's just how some ppl do it

Look at the manifold thread. There isnt a good place to do it that would promote even flow. We ported the turbo wastegate hole in the housing to 1" something to flow more. The turbo is
Garrett T3/T04E
Compressor: T04E 50 trim, 0.60 A/R
Compressor Inlet: 3” hose connection
Compressor Outlet: 2” hose connection
Turbine: T3 Stage 3 High Flow, 0.63 or 0.82 A/R
Turbine Inlet: Standard T3 4 bolt flange
Turbine Outlet: T31 4 bolt flange

Ya thats an SS, lol, my friends car. Totally redone interior and paint, cam, exhaust, etc. Its a fun car, though not as fun as my other car in the background ;)

Thanks....I would port the hole out as large as you could. I tried it on the turbo like you and still had creep...but i do have a slightly larger motor. I should take a picture of my boost graph....it climbs to 25psi and hold it there from 5000 to 7700 solid. but its also on the header now. Im using a Tial 38mm.

Hmmm, we went just over an inch, and the tubing is 1 5/8. The wastegate is a turbosmart 38mm Ultra-gate. I guess if it creeps it won't be too hard to take off the housing and enlarge the hole. You are definitely pushing more exhaust, lol. I'm not cranking up the boost till I get a couple more supporting mods. I still have a stock clutch which the old 15g could overcome and the intercooler will probably look like a popped balloon after a lot of boost.


Actually maybe I should port it more before final assembly.... Thanks for the heads up.
