Local artist agreed to paint something on my valve cover.
The turbo snail is a bit overplayed but on the right track.
Im trying to brainstorm things in life that you could replace with a turbo. Like a bundle of turbos on a string instead of balloons?

You could paint it all factory black, then have them paint a section so that it looks like something has blown a hole in the valve cover, and they could paint in the cam/buckets/shims etc underneath the "hole".
EDIT: Would also be cool if you just cut a hole in the valve cover and put a little perspex window over it.

when i painted my valve cover i sandblasted it all clean, then wet sanded it until the surface was pretty smooth(getting rid of the texture sandblasting leaves), then i cleaned it really well, sprayed a layer of primer, then started with the paint. my friends dad sprayed it for me, and told me how to do it. it turned out very nice.
edit: i think i used 220 grit to sand it, it was a fairly fine grit, but not super fine.

Paint a nude sexy girl on it. Holding a turbo in a most provacative way.
