this is for the new guys
i know this is a old idea but its the first one i made.
i made it for a freind and took about 1/2 hour.all you have to do is add a 1/2 inch to the bottom.he has his o/d switch on his dash so we cut 2"off the top.works great.

tony

you dont have to move the o/d

what about the reverse?
reverse is locked out above the ball joint.
on his we removed the lockout(not a good idea)
if you dont cut off the top reverse lockout works fine.

If that is for a 740 it will not work. Dale did one for me that was 3/8" longer and it still rubs a bit; I had to modify the arm that holds the shifter.

I made one for my 85, very simple to do. Of course I don't think the tranny is going to last long enough to enjoy it for any lenght of time.

Easier said than done in alot of cases. Probably the reason I sell one once in a while.... :-P

Or get a sequential-shift-kit from Sellholm Tuning in Sweden, or do as me, get an old Grp.A dogleg 5-speed tranny which is already shortshifted :-D
