I'm maybe going. There's something in Breezewood, PA that I might be doing the same weekend. I may try to do both, and if that's the case I'll be gone for part of the 16th. I'll keep you posted.

Sounds like fun. Anyone planning on staying the night up there? I should be free that weekend, I just don't think I'll want to drive back to Yorktown, VA the same day.

Yeah, as I'm driving down from Maine, I'm doing the whole program, so I'll be staying Friday and Saturday. I got a pretty good rate at the Quality Inn.

I might be going...anyone know if you have to register to just go to the car show?
Body Massage
10-03-2004, 11:27 AM
I think the registering is just for that one track event....they have 2, one with go-carts, one with cars. The one with cars you need to register for. Just read it in IPD's newsletter

The registration also covers food. AFAIK, if you just show up to the show on Saturday, it's free. Not positive though.

I get the feeling you can't enter the car show w/o being registered for Sat. at least. They give awards for show entrants in several categories.
If you want to park somewhere not in the show, and just view it, that should be free. I wish I could do the show and the Sat. go-karting only, but I'm not paying $75 for that, and I'm not that interested in paying for the dinner Sat. night (assume that's all included in the reg. fee).

I'll be there all weekend with my family. Yes, you need to pay to enter your car in the judged show. Entry fee usually includes that day's meal. Parking off site and looking around and shopping at the vendors is free.
Directions and other details at vcoa.org.

Thanks man, that's what I was wondering. I wasn't planning to enter in the show, just be a spectator.

Teflon coat the entire car, then rain-x it. You won't even feel the rain hit.

A month and a half after Sept 11 those chicken**** VCOA mother****ers canceled their east coast meet in Orlando FL. Like U.S. "symbol of power" #3 in the line down from the twin towers and the pentagon is a couple hundred Volvo owners in a field down the street from Disney World. They didn't have another east coast national meet for two years. Like I'm ever going to consider going to one of those things again. I'd probably just punch the head of VCOA in the face for being a chicken****.
In summation, I somewhat resent their decision to cancel the meet here.

I drove to Vermont in 2003 for a VCOA East Coast meet. So that just leaves '02, which I don't remember as far as VCOA meets go.
It's not like you would drive all the way to PA anyway, so quit your whining. When there's one in FL again, you'll probably go.
