I have had no luck finding a good black interior for my car so I decided to put in the BMW seats that are a decent match. The stock seats are flat and slick and not the greatest for fun driving. The ones I was using are 244 seats as the two door seats are very hard to find. These cost me $50 at PnP. An added benefit I found after installing was that I did not bottom these out, and can feel the springs absorbing road bumps.http://www.pbase.com/turborg/bmw_320i_seats

Please post the details on how to get them to fit. I really need some seats, but am fabricator challenged (I just can't).

I plan on replacing my tan carpet with black carpet within the month, so I will have the seats out so I can take pictures. The BMW seat mount points have to be removed to get the seat ready for a flat Volvo style mount. The mount points are also wider. What I did was use correctly drilled 1" angle iron to attach the volvo tracks to the BMW seats. I will put out a how-to when I put the black carpet in. I did see a lot of two door BMW seats in different colors that can be adapted.
yeah, my tan's gotta go.......one day. black IS hard to find. would love to fab something up, but i've ridden in so few good seats that i know not which cars have good seats. would love to see pics (just like everyone else said). how do they measure up to the 240 seats? about the same width? and when you say the word "cheap" aprox how "cheap". lol
but i hope you can make it work.

The seats are very similar in size and height(you can see how they look in the picts.) I tested the back seat and it will not fit. The leather is very easy to remove from the BMW back seat and as the seat is a little bigger, there might be enough leather to redo a Volvo back seat with the BMW leather.
