Spring Photo Contest - 4/5/03

Yup, its already time again for the next front page feature!

For those of you who are new, this is for the image on the front page of our site (great publicity!). The submissions will be voted on by this rounds judges: myself (dana), DBSvolvos (dave), and bitjockey (robin) none of whom will be submitting an image of their own.

Here are the rules:

[*:8b5cf8bcac]All submissions must be at least 640x480 in size
[*:8b5cf8bcac]You must be either the owner of the car when the picture was taken, or the photographer in order to qualify.
[*:8b5cf8bcac]One photo per subject (i.e. we don't want 20 photos of your 740,
however a photo of your 740 and one of your 240 is ok)

Any questions should be posted below. Winners will be announced on
Saturday April 5th (evening) unless for some reason it takes the judges 3 days to pick like last time. All submissions will be added to the general site gallery as well.

Well in that case I"ll buy a digital camera on ebay, pay for it with PayPal, shoot pics from inside my house, and then upload and submit.

To quote Barney from the Simpsons:

Any new categories this time around? Dirtiest brick? Best rolling shot? Most Volvos in one shot?

i'd like to see some rolling shots this round... and some new camera angles would be nice. Course if someone got both of those... and was drifting at the same time... well... even if it didnt win, it would surely be cool

I just have three questions
1 - Does it have to be of just one car, or can I have my father's 2000 s70 with my 1979 245DL wagon, or 1985 GL sedan?
2 - If you win, do you get a prize or award, or is this just purely for fun?
3 - How many entries can you submit if you have more than one car?

its really just for fun, and to keep the page from looking the same all the time... i guess the prize is a lot of people would see your car(s). The rules are actually quite loose, people send in a few pictures of the same car just at different locations (one at the house, one on the road, one next to a lake... etc). Group pics are fine... i mean really its just gotta be a good photo w/ a volvo in it. The winner can pick what they want the details to be... usually its about the car

Let me point out , that since im a judge , im quite hard to please !!

And any bad reference to me , dana , robin et al whatsoever on this board before the commencment of judging will result in complete lack of interest in said persons photo entrant in the competition !

Since i may be giving away an MBC for the said competition i will take no responsiblity for calling pictures of said entrants photos , **** , crap , useless , and anything else i can think off whithout recourse to the TBricks Mngmt .

Ok folks... all the entries were in this

morning. We have a total of 41 photos (38 or so submitted in the last 48 hours too lol)

Myself, Robin,

and Dave will pool our votes for 1,2,3, and some other "special award". There are quite a few that are "winning"

quality... so im thinking we will end up nit-picking to find the pole posistions.
