early 240 airdam on my 242t seems to have a nicer lip than what I have got on my 244t parts car.. I have looked through alot of pictures to get an idea if this 244 airdam had been replaced with the part from a nonturbo but I dont see a differance. is the airdam on the turbo the same bit used on the nonturbo cars with the later style bumpers..

the reason for this post is I started the big to small bumper swap today and I think I hate the look of the smaller lip of the newer airdam. Is there a better airdam that was common on the 240turbos that I can get laying around somewhere? or has anyone hacked up the old style airdam to fit the new style bumpers? anyway, any answers to my mess here will be apreciated.

The Turbo, Diesel, Bertone, and GT to name a few should have the spoiler with the deeper lip. I've seen one used with a later plastic bumper, so it should work OK.

well all that I have read about old big bumpers to new smaller bumpers has been mostly true. everything bolts right up. however I have about 30 holes to drill in the body to get the trim to go on. I had to drill holes in the front fenders to mount the sides of the new bumpers to the fenders And I need to drill and tap holes in the inside of the body to mount the fender braces(without them the fenders are weak) the tow hook is also diferant up front. I must say this is best thing I have done to this turd of a car, not counting wheels and tires.
