Ok guys, ideas please.
I propose a get together/gatecrash of the Volvo300Mania meet at Gaydon Motor Museum on November 7th. We'll show them what a real Volvo is................

Can we all meet up about 30miles from there and go in convoy, cos i'm sick to death of getting to the last 30miles from a meet and then the AA directions get me completley lost.
This has happened to me know going to Gaydon, going to Kinver, Going to the Rolling Road.
Heck if we had a meet at santapod i'm sure i'd find a way to get lost and its only 8 miles from me.

I'm in. I know we were talking about meeting at the end of october and i will need some help with wiring in new lights so this meet sounds perfect.
I have seen a banner manfucturer with a sale on at the moment. £2 pre Sq Ft so if you really want to storm their meet, can always get a banner made up eg turbobricks.com or something and unfold it there.
Convoy sounds good as long as you are slow enough for the derv support car. Chesh - you got tb meeting place to mind?

I think we should just get a loud PA speaker system and play ride of the Valkaries as we come gatecrashing into their meet with boostly goodnesss and loud NA Power from Rupert.

I might actually come to this one, I might actually have a proper car too!

i've got loud system but rupert will drown out most things (apart from a boost derv of course!)
My car is also getting serviced and mot'd on the 22nd, so hopefully it will pass and be running well.

Nov 7th will be about the same time you want to come back on the rollers chesh

Don't worry Chesh, it's quite easy to find.
Come off the M40 at Jnc12, turn SE (left for those heading to Brum, right for those heading to London), up to the cross roads, turn right and the museum is about 1/4 mile on the left hand side. It is even signposted from the Motorway.

I might actually have to drop out of the Gaydon event, the petrol money getting there and back could be better spent on these ****ty ****ing rusty cars i own.

I think you can brag when you've got 'the beast' engine working...I'm expecting almost as much power as you measured with those carbs...if Mike ever lets me have them back ;)

I'm 99% sure i'm coming this time, it's only 120ish miles so I shouldn't have to stop at a petrol station with a dodgy pump that doesn't stop when the tank is full and spray petrol all over myself again :grrr:

Same here, I'll be bringing the 460, which has now miraculously stopped leaking since a switch to Castrol GTX, awesome stuff.

I believe i'm gonna actually miss this one, as a mate just rung me last night to remind me that were suposed to be going Mountain Biking in Wales that weekend.
Not the easiest thing to get out of as we've rented a cottage to stay in whilst there.
Oh well have fun, at least someone else can have a turn at having the fastest car there. HA HA
