Hi all, I've just bought a 1995 850 T5 wagon.

I'd be interested to see pics of anyones 850/S70/V70 cars as well as general information, whats been done to them, etc, etc

Please feel free to move this into whatever forum is appropriate. I'll post pics of the new toy soon, once I've washed it and cleaned it up a little.

he he.
I got the 850 to use as a development car, and so that I can take the 240 off the road to do some more serious work to it.

We already have sumpguards and tower braces for 850/S70/V70 cars, and lately we've needed an 850/S70/V70 in more often to use to fab up a few other bits and pieces we'd like to starting selling.

A little Photochopped [I'm tinting the tailights, painting wheels and debadging once it's out of the body shop] but it's my 2000 V70R. It's AWD with a 5-Speed automatic, stock specs are 265 hp and 258 ft/lbs tq. [I think that # is right]. They're safe as hell too! Trust me I know.

Once it's out of the bodyshop it'll have a CF Hood and iPD sport grille. Other than that it's pretty much stock, I eventually plan on getting a chip/exhaust/intake after I put a new transmission into it.

Thanks heaps. I checked out all the photos on your car domain site. Looks really nice.
I like the suede interior inserts on the R and T5-R models.

Do you have any plans for any future modifications?

I like it. a friend of mine has a 1997 V70R, 5 speed manual, AWD, etc. It's safron orange.
It has a TME computer, 3" stainless exhaust system, DVS strut tower brace, DVS sump guard, but other than that its stock.
Very easy car to drive quickly. It looks amazing when its clean.
We've been using it for a while as a rolling test bed, but theres times when we'd like a car for a few days at a time to work on something and this really isnt practical for him.

I also notice that the 2000 models had 16" rims as standard whereas earlier models had 17"s
I wonder why they changed it.

I'm looking forward to seeing yours once its repaired with the CF bonnet and the IPD grille.

Many thanks for the photos guys!

Cheers,
Ash

Thanks for the links. a manual V70T AWD is a rare find even over here. It looks pretty good though.

Is it the LPT 2.5l engine?

Do you have any plans for bigger swaybars or bigger brakes?

Also, a quick question....
How difficult was it to remove the roof rails?

Thanks,
Ash

I love driving this car. Just Saturday night I was D.D. and my wife was passed out in the back seat when a Mercedes E class tried to best me..... Sucker
I smoked him 3 times.
1 rolling start
2 dead stop
3 tried to pass me
All 3 times he was OWNED!!! The guy was pissed off royally.
