I dunno if this really deserves being in showroom, but it was pretty hard work so I thought I would post a couple pics I took. The rear end and suspension components are from a 940 wagon with under 60k miles so they should still be pretty fresh. I decided it would be easier to install the torque rods and panhard rod from the donor car, rather than mess with all of those bushings. I also took the springs out of the wagon, as my stock springs were sagging heavily after 15 years. The rear end is a 1041, also from this '94 wagon with very low miles, so I hope it's good to me. , So here are some very dirty pictures..

P.S. The locker is wicked fun. We did some late night parking lot drifting and donuts, and it is just crazy fun. I have never owned a car with a locker or LSD, and it is just sooo much fun. It was well worth the day it took to install it. I will get some nice melted rubber pics to add to this later.. :)

p.s. thanks to josh (spawt) for helping me with this all day.. let's go for a "spin" hehehe

Glad to hear that you enjoy spinning both rear tires. It is also one of the things that I like doing in my car. I'd say that it's possibly the BEST upgrade I've done so far, how about you? Nice pics too.

Isn't the locker great! Pretty cool to be able to lay down some dual slabs instead of the typical one tire fire.

What's the deal with that poor 940 donor car? Looks sad in that pic...

Yes, it's quite sad, it's on its way to its death soon. We got it for $500, complete, only 58K miles. The motor is going in our 245T MegaSquirt project car, a lot of the misc stuff went to my 740, and the rest is either pulled or going to the junkyard. all that's left are the front struts and springs.

Well, i dont want to keep making new threads, so I guess I will make this into my update thread. Here are the other goodies coming in the mail for my car:

New turbo, TD05-16G (next to stock 13c):

New IC from eBay:

Also got a set of browntops and a 5-15PSI pressure switch to activate CSI or whatever.

Here are a couple more pics of the car and stuff:

Painted Grille, doing the bumpers next!

sorry, but... why is the car so high off the ground?? I think I've never seen a 700 that high before (!)
Is that some kind of standard in the US to have so high cars or??

Well, the front end got about an inch higher when the bilstein struts went in. The rear springs are from a wagon, i suppose they might be a bit taller than normal, but not by much. It might be a bit higher now that i've replaced most of the front & rear suspension. The front is definitely a little higher than its supposed to be, but I attributed that to the HD struts.

I'm sure I will put on some lowering springs eventually, but there are other things to spend money on first. I think it looks pretty good myself.

Not meaning to be rude, just wondered...

I've heard that the US-Spec Audi A4 got 30mm higher ride than in Europe, which means that US- Lowering kits are the normal ride height here, and I thought might be something with volvo's too...
