correct offset and everything, or did you have to use spacers/adapters?

Tenacious Todd
11-02-2004, 10:17 PM
There are no spacers or anything what do you think does it look like it NEEDS spacers?? Nothing rubs or hits SO FAR. If I find that I need them I will buy a set but right now I am leaving them alone.

As far I as know 140's don't need spacers for most rims since there off set is same as FWD isn't it? we could put the Titans on a 142E and the looked sick and also fixed perfectly.

The wheels Rob uses MIGHT be Chris' wheels .

that's right I keep forgetting that the 140s have the same offset as FWD.

none the less nice find.

no, iirc, the offset is the same as RWD volvos, but to fit bigger wider wheels the only way to do it is with a more FWD offset.

Looks good, it'll look sick once it's all together and the front lowered!

Nope, 40mm offset. Makes life easy :) So why do I still have 3-spokes? No one knows.....
Of course, the '01 and on cars have offsets in the 48-52mm range, so let's say early FWD offset :)
EDIT- and the early front fenders help the lowered look a bit!

Looks good minus the wing how about a daytime shot.Yeah not sure on the fender thing but my car is a 73 did not like the fenders or the gas door or the lights on the fenders or 1/4 panel so I welded them shut and filled them.. PS I have some older 140 taillight lenses you may be interested in..

Yes, the MD set i was watching. The CA set had a messed up rim, and i didn't like his responses so i didn't bother on his.

One thing to keep in mind on offsets is wheel width. The 40mm offset on the 140's were on 5" wheels. Newer rims have much more width to it.

-- Kane ... FWIW, I have RWD rims on my 144.

I keep the wing now mainly just to annoy people. Everyone says take it off, just because of that, I leave it on. My taillights are the all red units, even have a spare set
Good call on the body mods. My plan is to fill in the holes from the turn signals. I now use the parking lights in the grill for turn signals. And Laguna Seca blue is one of my favorites!
Not even a hint on the coilovers? :e-shrug:
PWRPUFF, good point on width. I've used Virgos on my car with good luck, also. The chromies are 15x7 with the 40mm offset with 205/60's on the rear.
Here's ya a daytime pic:

Well I do not have to worry about what wheels to put on the car. The car has sold and the 18's are coming off and going onto my next project car... ..

UHHH YEAH... I already bought a replacement though. Not a 140. After delivering the 1800 to its new owner I realized how I do not like the steering (did not remember how non precise it was). And decided to sell it I am glad I did I am MUCH :-P happier with my new purchase.... KEEP an eye in your rearview for the NEW car....
