I fail to see the performance aspect of a subjective question like best looking rims.

I like forged aluminum rims...they be light. With magnesium centers.

TE37's but they are $$$$$$$$

Any 18 inch with alot of lip looks great. Its a RWD, might as well show it with wide rears (for some reason VW owners do that even though they have FWD's)

What do TE37's look like? Oh and isn't an 18 inch wheel going to rub on a 240?

Unfortunatly TE-37's a piece probably are higher than the blue book value of my 244.

ha ha haaa!!! brickster.......thats the fun part though......paying for wheels that are worth way more than the car. know a local Camaro guy, owns an 84 Z28 that is beautiful as hell, he laid down $4000 on a custom one of set of Fikse 3 piece wheels. a friends girlfriend, her dad just bought some 19 inch HREs for his MB SL55 AMG......god all mighty. i got to torque them on. :-D any ways.....heres a pic or 2 of that sexy camaro. and that AMG....it has 8 piston calipers up front, sporting 4 brake pads, per caliper.

Just out of curiousity, would TE-37's fit a Volvo? It would be nice if it did.

Those Fiske's look sweet on the z28! Saw those on a mk IV Supra once. Very nice.

As far as comonly found rims on a 200, I really liked the Tritons (18" BBS) on Rob's blue 242. Towery's car looks awesome with the red 15's, and I've kinda let the Tethys (my 242) grow on me. I don't think anyone has actually seen TE-37s on a 200 have they?

The guys in Europe get the pick of the litter though. I love those JP wheels with the big lips, and the white Compomotives. Too bad they are so heavy.

Eventually I'd like to get some HRE's or Fiske's made for my 242. 17 x 9 or so. 5 or 6 spoke. Just too damn expensive....

16" BBS wheels w/ a polished lip. These also look interesting:

Compmotive wheels under 240's. Looks like they can do w/e bolt pattern & offset you need.

Im running 16" 'Columbia' wheels from an 850 T5.

http://members.optusnet.com.au/ashdavies/dvs/misc/canb5.jpg

bad photo, but you get the idea. I dont have a side-on one handy.

http://members.optusnet.com.au/ashdavies/dvs/misc/canb2.jpg

I love Polaris, but since they're becoming increasingly popular, I wouldnt put a set on my car.

A friend of mine's '88 Supercharged 5 speed manual 240 with polaris.

A friend has Titans on his 242GT and they look awesome.

Anything by Simmons, usually looks great. See below.

They'd look better if they were bigger.

Personally though, my favourite wheels on a 240 were TSW Hockenheims.

SSR Integrals would be just as nice...

Borbet Type A with a lip, widened polaris, anything mesh with a polished lip.

There are alot of wheels that look good. Problem is finding one thats not FWD offset.

There were some HREs on the net for sale in a volvo pattern, but FWD = the anti lip wheel.

My new wheels should look pretty good.

SSR's are nice. BBS mesh with 2" lips are cool. But nothing will satisfy me short of 16x9 ET15 Borbet Type A with flat caps.

I think 18" Mercedes S-Class monoblocks would be the new 240 hawtness, considering it needs a 25mm spacer anyway, might as well change the bolt pattern :)

Simmons do own, I love the OM's expeccially, but the old school 16' mesh rims are very sweet too.

The Peggie's look awsome too. THe Virgo's would be better if I had a wider rear track.
