Hi,
I'm helping a friend w/ his 240 and he wants to put some new gauges in the individual gauge spots on his 240. Is the correct size 2 1/16"? What gauges would you recommend?

I'm thinking:
Boost, Volt, Oil Press., Oil Temp. and EGT?

What are your opinions?

yeah 2 1/16"
EGT is expensive, but could be useful...

The VDO match the best for me. I just ordered from http://www.egauges.com I ordered the Vision series since they come with diffusers to make them light up green at night to match the Volvo gauges. Plus they are made for a bit more visibility. The pointers light and the dial is backlit. Looking forward to putting them in. I bought turbo, oil pressure 80psi, volts. Thinking about buying the oil temp, too. Since the 300F version should work fine with the oil drain plug sensor.

I was going to install EGT but it is pretty hard to install the probe in a place for really accurate readings. Unless of course you take the manifold off. For best results the EGT probe should be near the cylinder port.

Happy rolling,

Hey weezil-

Just curious, what are you using for Oil Temp sender?

Also, is the autometer oil press. gauge compatible with the stock volvo sender?

Speaking of this, does anybody have a source for the oil-drain-plug oil temperature sender that is used with the OEM volvo oil temp gauge? Are there any other simple ways to install an oil temp sensor?
